Computer booted into a screen filled with characters of random shape/color. Dead test cart displayed a single flash indicating a fault with U12 RAM, but replacing that chip made no difference. Replacing U13, U25 and U26 also changed nothing. The issue was finally resolved after replacing the MOS 8709 at U14 with an LS74258.
